Gifts & Memorial Donations

Wrengay Rawls Watkins passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014. She was born on April 8, 1952 in Richmond, VA, to Henry H. and Delia Rawls and she graduated from Longwood College in 1974 with a B.S. in Music Education.

Wrengay taught elementary school music for 28 years, both in Hampton and Virginia Beach. In the process, she put her husband through school and raised a daughter, who turned out to be her proudest accomplishment. She was greatly loved by family and friends, and will be sorely missed.

Wrengay is survived by her brother Glen Rawls, her husband Tom Watkins, her daughter Erin Moskalski, son-in law Travis Moskalski, and lately, the apple of her eye, granddaughter Juliana Linnane Moskalski. Wrengay recently welcomed the opportunity to care for Juliana a couple of days a week, and the two were the best of friends.

Wrengay was a wonderful person, a gifted singer and a multi-talented musician. She lived a life full of accomplishment and good friends. She lived her life well. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9 at 2:00pm at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg, VA.

I will remember my many lunches over the years with Wrengay. We ate chatted & laughed a lot-only way to make it through some classroom situations. Even though we did not see each other so much once she moved from Va. Beach I count her among my dear friends.
