Virginia Margaret Brenner, 96, passed away Monday, February 13, preceded in death by her husband, William.  She is survived by 2 daughters, Joy Marsocci, Gail Horan, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.  The family will receive friends Friday, February 17th, from 5-8PM at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday the 18th at 10AM at Bucktrout Funeral Home and burial will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Online condolences may be shared at bucktroutfuneralhome.net.

    It was an honor to have known Virginia. We met her as a part of the visits to York Convalescent and other nursing homes in the area with the Legion of Mary, a group from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. We initially met her as the roommate of a resident on our list of Catholics requesting visitation and prayer. Catherine and Virginia were good friends and both were so welcoming of our visits and our prayer time together. Such gentle souls. We continued to visit Virginia after Catherine passed away. She taught us so much about life and dignity and perseverance and faith through her beautiful devotion. My condolences to her family for their loss. Thanks be to God for making and sharing this beautiful soul in Virginia. May she rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her.
