    Barbara Abbott says:
Valda and I spent many years together, through good and bad times. We hauled hay together with our husbands, rode horses together went to dances together, and rode our horses in the Williamsburg Christmas Parade every year for a very long time. She was definitely part of my life and I will miss her more than I can say. She was lucid in the last hours and we talked, laughed and reminisced. She left us happy, peaceful and thankful for all who loved her so dearly..

    Mary McLaughlin Masengale Freedman says:
Valda was my very first, and very favorite boss. She inspired loyalty and friendship with everyone, because that is what she offered back. I have so many wonderful memories from our 43 years of knowing each other. I will miss her, but am just happy for the times we had, and that she is at peace.

Valda was a very dear friend that I met while she lived at Verena at the Reserve in Williamsburg. We had many happy moments together while she was here, and I missed her when she moved out. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.
