Tyler Alyse Petteys, much loved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away at the age of 29 unexpectedly on April 25, 2022, while residing with her husband and young daughter in Guam.

A partial listing of her accomplishments included The Girl Scout Gold Award, the LDS Young Women’s Recognition Award, and the four-year completion of LDS Seminary.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Tyler attended the Talofofo branch in Guam.

Tyler Alyse is survived by: husband and best friend, Cody Michael Yerger; her daughter, Aurelia Rowena Petteys; her parents, Gary E. Petteys and Sheri L. Petteys; her sister, Rhiannon V. Ellis; and her niece and nephew Cameron and Dane Ellis.

The family is asking all expressions of sympathy be directed as donations to the Heritage Humane Society, 430 Waller Mill Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

Bucktrout Funeral Home is assisting the family.

    Ty-poop I wish I had one last drive with you where we’d have the best conversations about our lives and getting lost only to see if we could find our way back home with out a gps. Many adventures to get out of Williamsburg for the night. Our sleep overs where we’d talk about anything and everything we’d almost forget to sleep. I’m gonna miss your contagious laugh. We just talked about our kids becoming friends just like we were when you found out the news of me expecting. Lately I’ve been thinking about our many fun random adventures. I wish we had taken more pictures but we were to busy having fun. I will always remember the big heart you have and the way you always cared for others. I still remember being one of the lucky few that got to be at your wedding and how beautiful of a bride you made. We got to pick up where we left off as we always did. I miss you so much. I truly wish I could see you one last time at your service but I know you would understand how important it is for me to be at my doctors appointment. I will always think of you when I listen to Harvey Danger flagpole sitta what I wouldn’t give to blast it with you on a long car ride one last time. With love your “Cat-poop”
