Suzanne Carr

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Suzanne Beckstoffer Carr, of Williamsburg, VA at the age of 87 on June 26, 2023, from Frontotemporal Dementia. She was predeceased by her father, Bernard Beckstoffer; mother, Ella Beckstoffer; brother, Bernie Beckstoffer; sister, Mary Lue Beckstoffer; and niece, Ellen Wood. She has left behind her devoted husband, C. Frank Carr; her oldest child, Meredith Carr, spouse Kathy, and child, Nadine; and her youngest loving child, Daniel Carr and his wife, Brooke and two boys, Michael, and Joseph; sister-in-law, Anne Wood; niece, Susan Wood; and oldest brother, Bill Beckstoffer. Sue was raised in Richmond, VA and attended RPI, now VCU School, to become a schoolteacher. Having had a beautiful life in Williamsburg, her roots were settled deep, raising her two boys in their home, and seeing her three grandchildren growing up and becoming wonderful individuals in their own rite.

Sue’s funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 12PM at St. Bede Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral mass.
