On Saturday April 12, 2014 the world lost a beautiful soul.

Sean Young was a family man who touched the hearts of everyone around him. His presence was a true blessing. He lived an honorable life and paved a nice path for himself. He served the military as an Army Ranger and risked his life so we didnít have to. Upon leaving the military he did everything he had to, to take care of his family, and he was great at it. Between serving 19 years at the post office and keeping up with household feats and yard work he hardly got a moment to rest. His legacy will live on with his wife of 24 years Jean Young, and his two boys Patrick (21) and Shane (19). He is also survived by his brother Stuart Young, Mother Sue Magowan, as well as his sister Sarah McLaughlin. He will never be forgotten for the hard work and perseverance he has passed along to his family

    Our condolences to Sean's family. We knew Sean as he was our postal carrier for 2 addresses, and delivered our mail even after the forwarding expired, except the bills as we agreed (JK). He brought the mail to my elderly neighbors doors, listened to their stories and genuinely cared about his customers. He always had a smile and was a pleasure to speak with. It always brightened my day when I ran into him. He would take a moment to throw the frisbee for my dog, a real nice guy who did the right thing. He will be sorely missed.

    One of the nicest men I have ever met. He was so concerned about the community of Priorslee and when delivering our mail he would call us by name and assist the elderly by taking their mail to them.May his family find peace and know that he is in the hands of his Savior.

    It is so sad and unbelievable that Sean is gone at such a young age. He was a great carrier and swing carrier when I worked at the P.O. I always knew things were taken care of when he was there. Of all words for Sean, he strived at life honorably. He became a good friend of my husband and I after our retirements. Sean's presence and boisterous ways will be greatly missed.     I knew him when I was working with him in the Williamsburg Post Office. He was a very good person to know and talk too. We served in the Rangers together. I had him come to my home about 5 or 6 years ago. He will always be a good and great person.I gave.him a book to give to his sons. I express my heartfelt sympathy for his friends and family.

    I haven't seen Sean since leaving the Wbg PO three years ago, but his laugh and smile are still fresh in my memory. I'm thankful to have known him and called him friend. I pray that his family can find comfort in their happy memories as well.

    From the Neighbors on Lee Drive in Williamsburg: We send our heartfelt sympathy to the family of Sean. Sean was our mail carrier for the past 10 years. He was always pleasant and helped everyone along the route. The Lee Drive neighbors have enjoyed the experience of knowing Sean all of these years. A nicer person could not be found.
