Royce Ellsworth Newton

Royce Ellsworth Newton, 76, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2013.

He was a retired U.S. Army pilot, had his own plane, loved flying, NASCAR and all other sports.

He was preceded in death by mother, Charlotte Ward Newton; father, Audry Ellsworth Newton; maternal grandmother, Augusta Ward; maternal grandfather, Harmon Ward; paternal grandmother, Sadie Daley; paternal grandfather, Robert Love Newton; sister, Audrey Lee Newton; and half-sister, Debbie E. Newton.

Survivors include a half brother, Donald Newton; half-sisters, Elizabeth Hankins and Brenda Burnell; step-sisters, Peggy Newton and June Thompson; aunt, Grave Hitchens; a special aunt, Virginia Gnatowsky; uncle, Alvin Newton; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Bucktrout Funeral Home Friday, September 13, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held 11:30 am Saturday, September 14 2013, at the funeral home followed by burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
