Rose “Sweetie” Minor Micou, 68, of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2016 after a long, courageous and bold battle with cancer.  She was the daughter of the late Eleanor Griffith Minor and Robert Cary Minor.  She is survived by her children Frank H. Micou, III (Tank) and Amanda Micou Tawney (Mandy); the light of her life, her grandson, M. Brandon King; David R. Brooks II, who she loved as a son; sisters Eleanor Little and Caryn Chrin (Gregory); as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.  Rose enjoyed her career at the College of William and Mary, School of Business Administration, where she gained many lasting and supportive friendships.  Her entire life was devoted to her family and the joy that they brought her. She will be missed by all who knew her.  Rose was a caring and giving person who was always going out of her way to help others.  A special thanks to Dr. John Miller and the team at Peninsula Cancer Institute of Williamsburg and everyone who assisted in her care at the Hospice House and Support Center of Williamsburg.  The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 5pm-8pm at the Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg 23188; where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11am. Interment will with follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice House and Support Center of Williamsburg or the American Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be shared at
