Patricia Jean Taylor, 67 passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sept. 15, 2012. Jean was born Nov. 2, 1944 and was a lifelong resident of Williamsburg and James City County. She was preceded in death by her father, Don Weymouth and her loving husband of 37 years, Bill Taylor. She is survived by her two sons, Chris (Meredith) and Randy (Margaret), mother, Kay Weymouth; sister, Terry Hitchens; and four grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Bethany, and Kourtney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean graduated from James Blair High School in 1963 and was a former Miss Williamsburg. Jean devoted her life to her family as a homemaker. She was also instrumental in the success of Toano Contractors by serving as an officer for over 30 years.

Jean had a heart for the Lord. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church for many years as well as Smith Memorial Baptist Church. Through her long battle with cancer her faith in the lord never waivered. She loved life and lived each day to the fullest. Her positive attitude and loving spirit touched all that met her.

Jeanís life will serve as an inspiration to those that knew and loved her and to generations to come. She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the all the doctors and staff at Peninsula Cancer Institute and all the nurses and staff at Williamsburg Sentara Hospital 4th Floor South.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Liberty Baptist Church in Lanexa, Va. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Bucktrout of Williamsburg Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
