Oscar Kevin Kuhn “Curly” (73) passed away on October 15, 2023 in Williamsburg Va. Born in Richmond ,Va.  He attended Thomas Jefferson High School where he was a member of the Gymnastic and Wrestling Teams.  Kevin developed a love for sailing and spent the last 30 years in the Caribbean as a yacht captain . He was a legend in the sailing community and competed yearly in regattas throughout the area. He called St. Maarten home where he resided on his sailboat “Williwaw” He was proceeded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ada Kuhn of Richmond, both school teachers . Survivors include his sister Sharon, brother Kirk, as well as countless number of people who called him their friend.  A private ceremony will be held at a later date where he will “Return to his beloved Sea”.

    I have had the great pleasure to call Curly my friend and sailing companion for over 35 years,,, he and I enjoyed some very memorable times together and he will always be in my heart. He was always happy to hear from "Trinket" , as he called me, The last time we talked was a couple of weeks ago and it lasted a good half hour, I'll never forget that laugh of his and how this gentle loving person was so strong until the end,, smooth sailing my friend, the world has lost a good man with a big heart.
