Nathan J. “Jack” Nixon, 73, a lifelong resident of Williamsburg, died Friday, May 18, 2012. He was a member of James River Baptist Church and attended Smith Memorial Baptist Church. He graduated from James Blair High School and was a Pipe-fitter for over 25 years. He was an avid outdoorsman loving hunting and fishing and was a true family man. He was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Newman.

Bettie G. Nixon;

3 children:

Nathan Nixon & wife Pam,

Catherine Johnson & husband Thomas,

Aimee Jenkins & husband Andrew;

10 grandchildren:

Norris, Parker, Katie, Rebecca, Anna Catherine, Hayden, Henley, Emma, Mae, and Lily;

a sister:

Jane Marks;

2 brothers:

Axel Nixon and Frank Nixon;

a brother-in-law:

Alfred Newman.

A Memorial service will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11:00am in the Smith Memorial Church with the Rev. Dr. Ron Wade officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00pm at the Bucktrout Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Smith Memorial Baptist Church Youth Ministry or to the Warhill High School Baseball Team Pressbox Fund
