Myrtle Eva, Bob Sr. And Jr. gave me my first job when I was in high school. The values they taught me about public service served me throughout my working life as a librarian. They cared for their customers and I cared for mine. I am fortunate to have visited her before the pandemic and renew our friendship. She kept us all in a pleasant line and often brought us meals while we worked at Bob’s Sunoco on Richmond Road. I will always be grateful to the Baileys for the lessons I learned while working at Bob’s. Myrtle Eva was a joy to be with and a great teacher of life’s good lessons.

I worked with “Grandma” Bailey in WJCC preschool and loved her so much! She was a wonderful lady, warm and giving and funny! Even after she retired she lived to come to school when we were having special occasions and she will be very missed! God bless you Grandma
