Myron John Schrandt

Myron John Schrandt, 92, of Williamsburg, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2018.

Myron is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jane Schrandt; and siblings.

Myron served in the Navy during World War II and then went on to be an engineer, working for Kaynar in California. He was an avid traveler; his favorite trip was his annual winter getaway to Hawaii. Myron loved and served his Savior and Lord and was a member of the Williamsburg Community Chapel. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his much-loved family.

Myron is survived by his spouse, Miriam “Mimi” Schrandt; son, Steven James (Cindi) Schrandt; daughter, Diana Lynn (Bill) Issler; grandchildren, Jenifer Habershaw, Jonathan Issler, David Issler, and Laura Issler; and great grandchildren, Kyle Issler, and Zachary Issler.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11am at Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg VA, 23185.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Myron’s name to the Samaritan’s Purse.
