Mary Frances Gage Deal, born July 24, 1933, passed away on May 24, 2015. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 27 years, Perry Allen Deal who passed in December 2009.
Mary was a native of Williamsburg Vir+ginia. She graduated from Matthew Whaley School in 1951. She retired in 1986 with over 36 years with the United States Government. Those years included jobs at Fort Eustis and Camp Perry. Mary was a member of the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. She loved her home and enjoyed working in her yard. She was a lover of animals and especially her black cat, Inky.
Mary Frances is survived by her son, Pete Newsome and his wife, Joy of Citronelle, Alabama; grandson, Rick (Brittany) Newsome of Mobile, Alabama; great-grandsons, Oakley, Jonathan and Toby. She had a specially loved niece, Casey Gage, daughter of her deceased brother, Kenny Gage.
Graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
Remembrances may be sent to James City County Rescue Squad and/or Heritage Humane Animal Services, Waller Mill Road.
