Louise Frances LeBron, 64, of Yorktown, passed away on December 17, 2017.

Louise attended the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning and an Art Minor in 1975. Later, she studied at Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Maryland, graduating with honors in 1996, having earned a Master of Science in Special Education. In 2015, Louise was awarded her Postgraduate Professional License through the College of William & Mary in Administration & Supervision PreK-12. After obtaining these degrees and holding diverse roles in education, Louise went on to become the Director of Special Education for Mathews County in Virginia.

Louise’s life was dedicated to the betterment of children. Whether raising her own, teaching Christian Education at church, or advocating for children with disabilities, she acted dutifully upon what she felt was her calling and the values of her Christian faith. Louise’s hobbies included cooking, gardening, attending book club, corresponding with friends across the country, and following the Baltimore Orioles baseball team. She enjoyed serving as an elder at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church; taking care of her family’s beloved beach cottage in Duck, NC; and spending time with friends and family, especially visiting her daughters in London and Raleigh, NC.

Louise is preceded in death by her father, Otto LeBron, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Matthew) Elliott and Libby (Michael) Guerrero; sisters, Susan Moerschell and Sally Sahlen; mother, Betty LeBron; and grandchildren, Charlotte Elliott and Louise Guerrero.

A memorial service will be held on January 6, 2018 at 2:00pm at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church.
