Lottie “Jane” Smith, 80, of James City County, passed away on March 19, 2017.  Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Della Sue and Harley Joe Hollins; brothers, Butch Hollins, and Tommy Hollins. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lamer D. Smith; children, Brian Scott Smith, Stephen McKinley Smith, Stephanie Sue Smith, Tammy Elaine Pavao (Art), Arthur Joe Hollins; grandchildren, Alicia Ratcliffe, Chrissy Reed (Walter), Lisa Bradsby (Shaun), Chris Smith (Jessica), Justin Hollins, Michael Ingle, great-grandchildren, Cheyanne, Brittany, Kelly, Breanna, Te’Juan, Imani, Jada, Skylar; brothers, Michael Hollins,  Donnie Hollins; and sister, Mary Ellen Hatchell. Jane was an avid reader, enjoyed books, and working puzzles, enjoyed being outdoors; where she often watched and fed the birds, spent time in the flower garden, and had a favorite groundhog that she named. Most of all Jane enjoyed and loved her family and the time that they spent together. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 27th from 10:00am-11:30am at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188; a graveside service will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434 at 2pm. Online condolences may be shared at bucktroutfuneralhome.net.
