Lois Catherine Nantz entered the Kingdom of God on Sunday, August 20, 2017. She was born on September 26, 1936, in Niagara Falls, New York. The daughter of David S. Nantz, Sr., and Marion L. May, she is survived by her big sister Mary Oberlin Black, and was preceded in death by her big brother David S. Nantz, Jr. She is also survived by four nieces and four nephews, eleven great-nieces and nephews, and six great-great nieces and nephews. Lois enjoyed teaching children in Elementary School in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, for 30 years. She was a faithful member of Jeffersontown United Methodist Church for over 50 years, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, delivering tapes of sermons to home-bound members, and working at the food pantry. She was loved by all her many friends, immediate family, and extended family of cousins and their children and grandchildren. Her remains will be interred at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky, in a private service.
