Lillie Melton Burton

Williamsburg – Lillie Melton Burton, 93, departed this life on April 24,

2014.

She was a member of James River Baptist Church and was very active in the VFW.

Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Temple Burton,parents; Larry and Mamie Melton, her brothers; Charles and Stuart Melton , sister, Lorraine Burnside. Lillie is best known for her love of animals, especially her cat Buddy.

She is survived by her nephew Edward Melton, nieces; Constance Beatty and Orene Coffman and a number of cousins. The family will receive friends at Bucktrout Funeral Home on Saturday April 26, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. A graveside service will be held Sunday at Bybees Road Baptist Church starting at 1:00 pm. On line condolences may be shared with the family at bucktroutfuneralhome.net.
