Leslie Berger, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023, in Virginia. Born on October 21, 1942, in California, Leslie lived a fulfilling life of love, family, and faith. She was 81 years old at the time of her passing.
Leslie dedicated her life to her family, primarily as a devoted homemaker. Leslie’s caring nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she participated in the St. Bede Catholic Church community. Her faith played an integral role in her life, providing strength and guidance in both good times and challenging moments.
While Leslie found joy in tending to her loved ones, she also enjoyed her personal interests. She delighted in watching Hallmark TV shows, finding solace in their heartwarming stories. Additionally, she found pleasure in reading.
Leslie pursued her academic ambitions, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in History from California State University. This achievement showcased her dedication to knowledge and intellectual growth. It was a testament to her unwavering determination and thirst for understanding the world around her.
Leslie is preceded in death by her father, Leon DeHaff, and mother, Jane DeHaff. She leaves behind cherished memories with her surviving family: her sister, Susan Miller; loving husband, Richard Berger; devoted children, Adam Metter, Preston Metter, and Ashley Fremont Smith; and adored grandchildren, Luke Fremont Smith, Daxton Fremont Smith, and Rayos Metter. Leslie’s warm presence will forever be missed by her family and friends.
