LeRoy “Humphry” Beale, 63, of Williamsburg, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016. LeRoy is survived by his wife, Theresa of 43 wonderful years; daughter, Tobie Hicks; son, Jeramy Beale; grandchildren, Shawn, Shane, and Shayna; best friend, Elizabeth; and many other family members and friends. He was a loving father and husband. LeRoy grew up on a farm in Wisconsin where he was born, with his grandparents who primarily raised him. He lived up and down the east coast, from Maine to Florida and has lived in the Williamsburg area for the past 10 years. LeRoy was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served our country in the United States Navy with 23 years of service from 1969 until retirement in Florida, June of 1993. LeRoy received an associate degree in Culinary Arts from Pensacola Jr. College in Milton, Florida. After receiving his degree LeRoy worked at Parris Island where he ran a mess hall and taught OSHA and food safety courses. He also worked as a chef at Morrison’s and Piccadilly. He was a dedicated and proud Greenbay Packers fan, an avid wood worker, and enjoyed reading books out of his collection of more than 3,000 different copies. Funeral Services are private and burial at sea will be at a later date.
