Kenneth Ray Pickin, 66, of Williamsburg, passed away on May 30, 2017.
Kenny was a native of Poquoson and resided in Williamsburg for 32 years.
He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was active in many organizations over the years. He was the past president of the Central Point, Alps, Tignor Hunt Club and current board member. He served for 22 years as the president of Virginia Peninsula Sportsman’s Association and sat on the board of The National Redbone Coonhound Association. Kenny retired from Dominion Power after serving as trasportation supervisor in Hampton.ĺ
Kenny leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Dale Pickin; son, Charles Benjamin Pickin and his wife Becky of Harrisonburg; grandchildren, Eleanor Ruth Pickin and Charlotte Irene Pickin; and brother, Jimmy Pickin and wife Bette of Duluth,Ga.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Bucktrout Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 6 at 10:00 AM at Salem Baptist Church, Sparta, Virginia.
