Kathy Sue Turner, 54, a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and friend left this world to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2013. She loved nature and being outside. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. A fighter to the end with no quit in her, she was an inspiration to many. She loved all of her grandchildren, niece, and nephews with all of her heart.

Kathy was a member of James River Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Kathy was preceded in death by Dustin Ray Thompson (son), Larry Bruce Turner (brother), Elizabeth Ann Miller (sister), Argie Hipp (maternal grandmother), Zona and Ted Turner (paternal grandparents).

She is survived by her son Michael ìLeeî Thompson, her parents, Ruth and Tuggle Thompson, her brother Eddie Turner, and sister Barbara Deaver and her husband Tim, three grandchildren Leah Nicole Thompson, Kalei Grace Thompson, and Zoe Faith Thompson.

Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Bucktrout Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway Williamsburg, Virginia 23188
