Kathryn Kaye Thady, 88, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2020.

A Texas native, Kathryn moved to California as a child and later fell in love with and married William “Bill” Thady.  Her caring nature helped her to serve an important role as a teacher for Saratoga Elementary School in California.

Upon retirement she moved to Williamsburg, Virginia where she remained actively involved in her community.  She was a parishioner of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church where she has served as a Lead Usher and an Elder.

In her free time she loved to travel, garden, cook, and read. These passions led to her involvement in The Herb Society, The Gourmet Cooking Club, and Book Clubs. She was a guide for Colonial Williamsburg and a Past President of PEO International.

Kathryn was predeceased by her husband, Bill. Survivors include her children, Stevan Thady (Debra) and Karan Peare (Rick), and her grandchildren, Erin and Robin Thady and Danielle Peare.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg 4445 Powhatan Pkwy Williamsburg, VA 23188 or Williamsburg Presbyterian Church 215 Richmond Rd Williamsburg, VA 23185.
