Gifts & Memorial Donations

Kathleen (Kathy) Trager Batchelor, RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association), passed away at home after a 13-month fight with pancreatic cancer, on Sunday, April 24th , at 61 years of age.
Kathy was a “go getter” and “leader of the pack” all her life. She always did her best in everything. She tackled, be it growing up with her sisters, raising her family, or working as an Auditor for Sentara Medical centers. Kathy was always there to help whenever anyone needed her expertise. She was always willing to help anytime and anyone who was stuck on a problem. No problem was too big or too small for her.
Kathy was caring, helpful and loving. Always a friendly and beautiful person to be around. She was the best wife, mother, sister, and daughter you could ask for. The protector of her family, she was always there no matter the time or day.
Kathy resided in Williamsburg, VA, with her loving and devoted husband “Arch/Archie” Batchelor. She was preceded in death by her father Ed Brecht. She will also be missed forever by her son Steven Trager (Megan) of Miami, FL; mother Ruth Brecht (her friend Don) and sister Cindy Lehner (John) of Springhill, FL; sister Sharon Brecht, and nephew Raymond of Ocala, FL.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Kathy’s honor at a later date.

Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are struggling hard and carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
