Joyce Jones Holt, 80, died 5:25 pm, May 26, 2012. She was born September 15, 1931 and was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Holt, her brother Richard Jones, father Richardson Jones and mother Mable Jones.

She is survived by one son Jim Holt Jr. and wife Tina from Aledo Texas; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 1:00pm at Mount Vernon Methodist Church. Followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm, with Rev. David Craig officiating. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park.

Joyce was the Treasurer of the Susan Richards Circle for 31 years. She was a lifetime member of the Norge Saddle Club, and sang in the choir at Mount Vernon Methodist Church for many years. She and her husband Jimmy provided music and entertainment at several local nursing homes, and sponsored the County Gospel Jamboree.

Joyce was a loving and devoted wife of 50+ years and mother and grandmother. She will be sorely missed.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mount Vernon Methodist Church or the James City Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Bucktrout of Williamsburg is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
