Joyce Hamner Robertson, 85, formerly of Toano, passed away at her home in Winston Salem, NC early Sunday afternoon, October, 25, 2015. Born in Schuyler, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence C. Hamner, Sr. and the late Mary Tyler Hamner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Annabelle Carpenter, Nora Mae Wrenn and Carl L Hamner, and her husband, Harold T. Robertson, Sr.

She was a member of Mount Vernon Methodist Church of Toano, Va. She will be remembered for her love of reading and gardening.

Mrs. Robertson is survived by her sons, Harold T. Robertson and wife Rebecca of Winston-Salem, NC, Kevin H. Robertson of Norfolk, VA, her daughter, Patricia R. Maturo and husband Robert Ulvestad of Ashburn, VA, and her brother, Lawrence C. Hamner, Jr. and wife Rachel of Chesterfield, VA.

She leaves four grandchildren; Lauren Winborn(Steve), Jocelyn Roeder (Todd), Chris Robertson, Margaret Manuel (Brandon) and 4 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Williamsburg Memorial Park with a time of Fellowship and Reception to immediately follow at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188. Arrangements are entrusted to Bucktrout Funeral Home of Williamsburg.
