    Karen Brooks says:
I met Joanne about 8 years ago when I joined Curves. Even though there was a 30 year age difference, we became good friends. We both loved to do needlework & hand crafts. Every morning at Curves we would talk about everything going on with our families & whatever project we both were working on at the time. Joanne made several needlework pieces which I will treasure always. One in particular I had started, a needlepoint piece, then put aside. Joanne kept asking me if I had finished it. I said no, she came to my house & picked up the needlework, took it home finished it, had it framed & then brought it back to me. It is now hanging in my living room. Joanne was alwasy interested in whatever project I was doing, which were many. At Christmas we always exchanged ornaments that we made for each other. Each year when we decorate our tree I always know which ornaments she made for me. I truly cherish the time I spent with Joanne & the talks we had. I will miss her terribly.
