Joan Cushman, 74, of Claiborne Comm. Williamsburg died suddenly on April 29, 2020.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Robert E. Cushman.

They retired to Williamsburg fifteen years ago from Alexandria, VA. where they both worked for thirty years for the U.S.Government. Joan enjoyed sewing and bowling and was devoted to her dog, Cookie .She was also a close friend to JoAnne Alley.

A private interment will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

    Joan was a member of our Early Chicks bowling league for many years. She served as team captain of "Hit Ten" team bowling along with Claudia, Veronica, and Adell. They and all the members of our league will miss Joan very much. We are so sorry for your loss and pray for your comfort and peace during this difficult time.
