Williamsburg ñ Jerry C. Ainsworth, 81, passed away on Friday September 26, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mary Ainsworth, brother Kenneth and son Michael Ainsworth.

Jerry was a successful business man and owned and operated Jamestown Feed & Seed in Norge, VA for 26 years before retiring. He served in the Army National Guard for 20 years before retiring as a Captain. Jerry and Kay loved to travel and spend time on their boat, the Lady K. He also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife Kay Ainsworth, son Steven Ainsworth (Jennifer), Clai Ainsworth and Franklin Ainsworth, daughter Judy B Taylor (Norman), Grandchildren, Brooks Ferguson (Lee), Rob Taylor (Callie), Michael Taylor (Amanda), David Taylor (Jenna), Jonathan Taylor, Ellie, Annie and Owen Ainsworth. Three great grandchildren, Taylor and Mary Frances Ferguson and Pierce Taylor, sisters Dottie Dea (Dave) and Bell-Jo Rodgers and brothers Bill Mershon (Carolyn) and Lee Mershon (Bonnie).

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Bucktrout Funeral Home from 6:30 ñ 7:30pm. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, September 28, 2014 2:00pm at Olive Branch Christian Church. Contributions may be made to Hospice Support Care of Williamsburg 4445 Powhatan Parkway Williamsburg, VA 23188 or Olive Branch Christian Church Memorial Trust Fund 7343 Richmond Rd Williamsburg, VA 23188.
