Jeffrey Edgell

Jeffrey Kenneth Edgell, 24, of Williamsburg, passed away on June 14, 2021.

Jeffrey was a beautiful warrior soul whose passions were helping others and WWII history. Jeffrey was honored to take on the volunteer coordinator position of his community pool, creating a welcoming space for all his community to come together and enjoy each other. Jeffrey never met a stranger and was the life of the party…when his family and friends could convince him to join the party. Jeffrey’s passion for the military and military history was evident in all that he did, spending time speaking about World War II history with his family, friends and mentors. Jeffrey had a huge heart, loving everyone that he met, going out of his way to help others in any way that he could. His gift and giving spirt were continued through his ability to be an organ donor.  Jeffrey was greatly loved by so many and touched more lives than we can count. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure and privilege of knowing him.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by Sue “Nanny” Edgell. He is survived by his parents, Robin Edgell and Ron and Amy Edgell; siblings, Aaron Edgell, Timothy (Madison) Bilo, and Amber (Rico) Jones; grandparents, Leo and Lisa Edgell, Ann Carroll, Severn Warrington, and Larry and Kay Reynolds; nephew, Asher Gomez; and aunts and uncles, Leo and Rhonda Edgell, Gene Drake, Danise Archer, Jason and Jennifer Reynolds, and Adam and Tara Reynolds.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with service to follow at Bucktrout Funeral home.

    Your Friends at Goodmanagement says:
At times like this, there are no perfect words to express how much we care. Please know that each of us is deeply saddened to hear that you have been stricken by one of life’s worst tragedies. Above all, the loss of a child can compare to no other grief. And as for you Aaron, for one so young to lose a brother is a life-changing moment. Our heartfelt condolences to your entire family in their time of grief. We know that Jeffrey’s’ legacy will remain eternal in your hearts and to others who read this I hope it is a reminder that what makes us different, makes us beautiful. What a boring world it would be if we were all just alike.

Vicki Vawter and the Bluffs Board and Neighborhood says:
We at the Williamsburg Bluffs will miss Jeffery and send our heartfelt prayers, thoughts, and hugs to you both and your family. He was such a sweet young man with a big heart and such a desire to make help out whenever he could. Please know that we are all here for you if you need anything and look forward to celebrating his life later at, where else but the pool of course :) And I believe he will be there with us when we do.
