Jeffrey David Shinn

Jeffrey David Shinn, 53 passed away February 8, 2017 in Lewisburg, WV.  Jeff spent his youth in Williamsburg, VA attending York County Schools.  He served in the US Navy.  Most of his adult life, he worked in construction.  Jeff always had a smile, a kind word, and a helping hand for anyone he met.  He loved to play music, hunt and fish in the mountains and streams of West Virginia.  He was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents Virgil and Virginia Canfield. Survivors include his daughter, Samantha Evans Smith and husband Matt; grandson, Trenton; parents, Charles and Ginger Epperson and David and Linda Shinn; loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18th at the Quality Inn, 540 N. Jefferson Street, Lewisburg, WV.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.  In Jeff’s memory contributions may be made to Children’s Home Society of West Virginia, Post Office Box 557, Rupert, WV 25984 or Gideons International, Post Office Box 3103, Spartanburg, SC 29304 or a charity of choice.  Arrangements by Bucktrout Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
