Williamsburg – Jean Crummett Deagleñ died February 16, 2015 at Sentara Williamsburg. Born in Richmond, VA, on July 7, 1933 to Elmer and Eleanor Crummett, she had been a Williamsburg resident for over 40 years. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Charles Wallace Deagle and is survived by her two sons, Doug Deagle (Andrea) and Mark Deagle, both of Williamsburg; grandson, William Deagle of Williamsburg; sister, Peggy C. Osborne of Highland Springs; 2 special nieces, Debi Henderson and Teri Regali, nephew Michael Mays and sister-in-law, Faye Deagle Garrett.Jean graduated from Highland Springs High School in 1950 and worked in the Richmond area prior to marrying Wallace Deagle. The family lived in Colonial Beach, VA for several years before moving to Williamsburg. She was a devoted homemaker while raising her sons and then returned to work, first for the Williamsburg Redevelopment and Housing Dept and then for Patrick Henry Inn for many years. Jean cherished time with her family, particularly at ìthe Riverî on the Pamunkey. She was caring and concerned and always willing to lend an ear to a friend.A memorial service will be held at 2pm on February 28 at Bucktrout Funeral Home Williamsburg.
