Jane E. Douglas, 87 went to be with the Lord April 24, 2023. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Neverett A. Eggleston, Sr. and Sallie R. Eggleston a devoted sister Aurelia Eggleston Ford. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, her children (son) Willard Douglas III, (daughter) Wendelin Douglas, one brother Neverett A. Eggleston, Jr. (Jean A. Eggleston deceased) a host of nieces and nephews.

Jane was thoughtful, kind, resilient, wise, loving, stylish, empathic and humorous. She was grateful for life’s simple pleasures,  an avid gardener and excellent cook.

In honor of our loved one who touched and influenced countless lives. A scholarship fund has been established in her honor at Clark Atlanta University. Donations can be made in Jane’s memory to:
