James Marion Anderson, 80, went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2012.

Jimmy as the son of the late Frank B. Anderson, Sr. and Margaret D. Anderson.

He was born on a farm in New Kent County on February 2, 1932. He was a lifetime member of Olive Branch Christian Church in Norge, servicing in various capacities throughout his life.

He was a past member of the James City County Ruritian Club and a member of the Gathering of Men Organization

Jimmy raised 3 children and was Owner/operator of a service station, motel and restaurant business known as ìAndersonís Cornerî. He began working in the business (which was at the time owned by his father) while in high school even though he would rather have been playing baseball.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank B. Anderson, Sr. and his Godly mother, Margaret D. Anderson; a sister Dessie A. Miller and a brother, Bruce Anderson.

He is survived by his loving wife Viola E. Anderson; three children, Joy Abid and husband Daniel; Todd Anderson and wife, Pam; John Anderson and wife, Laura; nine grandchildren, Anastasia and Marcus Abid; Tyler, Zachary, Trevor and Payton Anderson; Daniel, Amanda, and Jason Paul Anderson; two sisters, Dorothy Brightwell and Peggy Lupini; one brother, Billy Anderson; and countless nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Olive Branch Christian Church, 7643 Richmond Road, Toano, VA 23168 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Bucktrout of Williamsburg Chapel from 6:00-8:00 PM.

    I am sorry to hear of your loss. Jimmy was always such a true and kind man . always a gentleman. I will always remember when i was a kid . walking to Andersons Corner to get candy etc etc. and thought it was so cool!! You are in my thoughts and prayers
