James F.  Kuder

James F Kuder, 78 of Williamsburg, passed away after a lengthy illness, on April 17,2021. He was the husband of Lynn (nee Lauderman) for forty-seven years and the son of Frederick J. and Irene Kuder. He is survived by nephews Robert (Susan) Low of
Vienna, VA and David Low of Downington, PA and niece Sandra (John) Stahl of Wilmington, DE along with grand and great-grand nephews, nieces, and godsons Anton Mandik and Craig James. He is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bert Low, and his parents.
He graduated from Drexel University in 1965 with a BSEE and with a MSEE in 1969. He also was a Life Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). While enrolled in Drexel University`s Cooperative Education program he was employed
at Cape Canaveral and knew the first seven astronauts, as well as being on John Glenn`s launch crew. James was a resident of Bucks County in Pennsylvania for 45 years and was a member of Trevose Fire Company`s competition Heavy Rescue Team for 10 years. During this time period, they won an International Competition. He was active in the local government of Wrightstown Township in Pennsylvania for many years. He was employed in various engineering firms in the Philadelphia area, such as AEL, Lockheed Martin, and retired from Boeing in 2013, as a Project Manager for the V-22 or Osprey program. He moved to Williamsburg in 2015. He enjoyed taking photographs of nature and traveling.
