WILLIAMSBURG ñ Helen Neyhard Edmonds, 100, went to be with the Lord August 22, 2013. She was born Oct. 11, 1912, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Ernest H. Neyhard Sr. and Ethel P. Neyhard. The family, including younger brother Ernest H. ìBudî Neyhard Jr., moved to Norfolk, Virginia in 1918. There, Helen remained until the early 1990s. She worked at the National Bank of Commerce in Norfolk, which is known today as the Bank of America,for 31years. In 1993, Helen joined her daughter, Judy, and her son-in-law in Williamsburg, Virginia. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and spending time with her family.

Helen attended the Christian Temple of Norfolk, Virginia and Faith Baptist Church of Williamsburg, Virginia. She is survived by her daughter, Judith E. Williams; her granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson; her twin grandsons, Nelson Williams and Geoffrey Williams, her great-grandchildren Andrew Snead, Kendall Rose, and Matthew Snead; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 4107 Rochambeau Drive, Williamsburg, VA 23188 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6350 Center Drive Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502. A funeral will be held Monday, August 26 at 10 A.M. at Faith Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 3 P.M. in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk.

The family will receive family and friends from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Sunday, August 25 at Bucktrout Funeral Home in Williamsburg.
