Helen F. Owen

Helen F. Owen, of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully at Chambrell Williamsburg on July 5, 2021.

She was born Helen Marie Fisk in Atlanta, GA on June 12, 1927.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward Frederick Charles Fisk and Antoinette Johnson Fisk; sister, Marian Elaine Fisk; and her cat, Countess. She is survived by her son, David (Arlene) Owen and her daughter, Jenni (Rev. Sam) Scheiderer, and her grandsons, Justin Edward (Jamillia) Owen and Patrick Raney Owen.

She was a member of Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, Williamsburg, VA, and a long-term member of the Bruton Choir. She had a lovely soprano voice, and was an enthusiastic member of a number of church choirs over the years, and the Rome Symphony Chorus in Rome, GA.

She was an executive secretary for several firms in Georgia over the years, and retired from Roche Pharmaceuticals of Alexandria, VA in 1993. She also enjoyed her years of working in the Wigmaker Shop and in the office of the Collections and Conservation Department of Colonial Williamsburg.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with service to follow at 6:00 PM at Bruton Parish Episcopal Church.
