Hans Earnest Lorenz, 75, of Williamsburg, passed away doing what he loved best, helping others, on April 7, 2016. Hans is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Twombly. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Pam Lorenz; daughter, April Lorenz; brother, Charlie Twombly (Gwen Bartholomew); special “helping hand” friends, Angela Carter, Brittany Turner; many great, loving neighbors and too many friends to list, and beloved dog Amber.

Hans served our country in the United Stated Navy. He was an antiques photographer with Colonial Williamsburg for 30 plus years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he taught pre-school, which he loved so very much spending time with the children at church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 13, 2016 from 10 am-11 am at Grace Baptist Church, 1013 Penniman Road Williamsburg, VA 23185, with a funeral service following at 11 am. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
