Paul  Dolan, went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2022, unexpectedly at home in Williamsburg, Virginia. Paul was born on July 13, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents Harrison P. Dolan and Maureen K. Dolan; his brother, Christopher C. Dolan, and sister in law, Jeanine P. Dolan. He is survived by his wife Susan W. Dolan; his daughter, Elizabeth Bartlett Dolan (Andrew); his bonus daughter Katherine A. Townsend (William); his new granddaughter, Waverly A. Townsend; his brothers, Jeffrey, Stephen and Timothy Dolan; his sister, Elizabeth Burnett (Mike); and his nephews Tyler and Christian Dolan. Paul loved his time at Radford University, where he was the president of Sigma Phi Epsilon and the President of Interfraternity Council. He had a successful professional career – from his first job as a paperboy, to a bag boy at Ukrops, he was a natural salesman. Paul rose through the ranks at Wright Brokerage, later merging with Acosta Sales and Marketing. He ended his career as the Senior VP of Sales at Boulder Brands. In retirement, serving others was his daily mission through AA and volunteering at the hospital. Paul adored his dogs; Cooki and Bailey. More than anything, Paul loved to spend time with his friends and family. Whether in the board room, on the golf course, or at UVA or Notre Dame football game, Paul lit up every event. A special thank you to the first responders in James City County. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to James City Bruton Volunteer Fire Department: 3135 Forge Road Toano, Virginia 23168.  The family will receive friends at Bucktrout Funeral Home on Sunday, June 26, from 2:00 – 4:00pm, funeral service immediately following. My family and I are extremely sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I grew up with Paul's brother, Jeff, and I spent many memorable times with the Dolan family. Jeff, Paul, and the Dolan family always welcomed me into their home, and I am fortunate to have developed long term relationships with each family member. I spent valuable time with Paul at Radford University, and he was always available to assist a "green" underclassmen. My condolences to Paul's entire family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Kirk Poore and Family

Paul was a dear and lifelong friend. We shared good times, laughs and an unwavering friendship throughout the years. I was so pleased that Paul had found love & joy with Susan, who had given him the life that he had always wanted. He was at peace and truly happy. Paul was so proud of Liza-Bart and Katherine and loved them with all his heart. I will miss the friendship, competition and the “must have putts” that Paul would make for the win on the 18th hole (well,… he didn’t make all of them). He loved the competition, but it was his friendships and family that he valued above all. Farewell old friend, you will be missed but never forgotten.

So sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. He was a neighbor and friend for several years in Severna Park and we had many good times. And yes, he was a natural born salesman! Thoughts and prayers to his family!
