Gilmer H. Harler, 81, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Gilmer retired as a printer technician for Eastern State Hospital and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Harler was also a member of James River Investment Corporation.

Gilmer was born on May 21, 1932 in West Virginia. He is preceded in death by his wife; Mary Harler; his parents; Carl R. and Faye Harler; his brothers; Pete Smith, Ervin and Marvin Harler. He is survived by his son, Carl Harler; daughter-in-law, Kendall M. Harler; siblings, Malcolm Harler, Norinda Knode, Novella Tragesar and Joyce Keeney; grandchildren; Morgan Faye and Hamilton; and special nephew and caregiver; Aubrey Stilwell.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Bucktrout Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Grace Baptist Church, Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 10:30 am with a burial to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
