Mae Hampton Royall, 92, of Williamsburg, VA passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel F. Royall, Jr.; son, Mike Royall; siblings, James Hampton, Marian Wood and Jean Schoonover. Mae was an active member of the Williamsburg Baptist Church and various church groups. She had a love of flowers and was a member of the Skipwith Farms Garden Club.

Mae is survived by her sons, Samuel F. Royall, III and William E. Royall (Carol); siblings, Hazobel Hall and Carolyn Miller; grandchildren, Hagen Hicks (Jeremy), Samantha Dorr (David) and Jennifer Royall; great-grandchildren, Jackson Hicks and Owen Dorr; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10:30 at the Williamsburg Baptist Church, 227 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Interment will be private at Williamsburg Memorial Park. Donations may be made to any Williamsburg area Garden Club.

    Aunt Mae, as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Ever gracious, kind, considerate, loving, accepting, forgiving. A smile that would light up a room and she was always smiling, no matter how heavy her heart may be. Aunt Mae was an avid scrapbooker even before it was popular. She always made me feel like I was so special. I loved her oatmeal cookies and I loved her. I will miss her greatly but, know I will see her again...probably out in Heaven's back yard picking up limbs and twigs. :-)
