Gerald Kelley, 85, of Williamsburg, passed away on May 21, 2021.

Born in Louisville, KY, he was the only child of Hugh and Geneva Kelley.
Gerald served proudly for four years in the U.S. Navy. After his service in the Navy, he met his
beautiful wife, Sylvia, and married her on January 1, 1963. Gerald was the proud father of his
only child, daughter Ruth.

After his time serving in the U.S. Navy, Gerald became a graphic/commercial artist working for
Giant Open-Air Markets as head artist and then moved to the Virginian-Pilot as a graphic artist
until his retirement.

Gerald had many hobbies that he loved to partake in: hunting, fishing, old cars, model trains,
guns, and watching baseball, especially the New York Yankees. He was a proud member of the
NRA.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Geneva Kelley. He is survived by his loving
wife of 58 years, Sylvia, and loving daughter Ruth.

Gerald will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.
