Gary Robertson of Williamsburg, VA went to his heavenly rest after a short illness. Gary was the only child of Clark and Thelma, who both preceded him in death. He was a lifelong resident of the Williamsburg Area and loved the quaintness of the town and all its unique events. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran. After Vietnam Gary went to the College of William and Mary and earned both an undergraduate and post graduate degree in Library Science. He read extensively on many subjects, but focused on the First and Second World Wars. As part of this interest he assembled many models of planes, ships and military equipment involving all combatants.
He also had a lifetime involvement with his church where he served in many ways including as librarian, UM Men President, and an actor in many drams and plays. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 10am at Crooks Memorial UMC in Yorktown, VA. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital Sustainment Fund at Crooks Memorial UMC.
