Faye L. Hamm passed away early Sunday morning October 28, 2012. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and a dear friend and loved one to many. She leaves to carry on her memory her daughter, Sheri Black and family; sons, Randy Hamm and family, Jeffrey Hamm and family; step-sons, Michael Hamm and family and Bobbie Hamm and family; numerous grandchildren, family members and a multitude of friends.
She retired from the local hotel and service industry as an executive housekeeper. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery and a variety of crafts including painting and decoupage. Faye was as her family members and friends will attest, was always concerned with her thought patterns and continually joked about keeping her mind sharp and witty. She was known for her finesse at crossword puzzles and seek-a-word games. She enjoyed fishing and gardening during the spring and summer months and always kept busy making items for her loved ones.
Faye will remain amongst us in the heart and spirit of many. A memorial service will be held on November 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jamestown Presbyterian Church, Williamsburg, Va. A graveside service will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to FISH (312 Waller Mill Park, Suite 800, Williamsburg, Va.
