Williamsburg: Evelyn Hazelett Spicer, age 68, died at her home April 23, 2016 with family by her side. Mrs. Spicer retired from Freddie Mac as a Financial Project Manager. Bird watching, traveling and gardening were a few of her favorite past-times, but most of all her grandchildren she loved with all of her heart. She was a member of Saint Bede Catholic Church, Equetrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and Daughters of the American Revolution. Parents, Samuel E. and Evelyn Andrews Hazelett as well as a brother, Samuel James Hazelett preceded her in death. Survivors include: Loving husband of 50 years, Daniel S. Spicer, daughter, Elizabeth Kepley and husband Christopher, son, Daniel S. Spicer and wife Rose Mary, 5 grandchildren, Chloe, Christopher, Evelyn, Joseph and Delan; sister, Sheila Whickman and a brother, Karol Hazelett. The family will receive friends at Bucktrout Funeral Home, Tuesday April 26, 2016 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Saint Bede Catholic Church, Williamsburg. Inurnment will be private.
