    Sharon Kay says:
Although I only saw Ellen (Gramma) occasionally the past five or six years (mainly birthdays and holidays), I will always keep dear to my heart the joy and happiness she brought to the day. Gramma was always willing to participate in planned games and activities, and she certainly enoyed them to the fullness. She always brought us to tears (from hardy laughter) with her zeal and competitiveness. I will never forget her Olympic attempts as she beat us all at catching Ping Pong balls with a butterfly net. What style! And what a competitor in the basement relay games at Christmases past. This is how I will remember this wonderfully sweet and kind woman, and rather than feel sad, I will have a smile on my face.

Dear Joe, Pam, Jimmy and family, Thank you for sharing Aunt Ellen with all of us. She was a jewel among us. She had humor, thoughtfulness and compassion for us. Life is much richer for having her with us. "Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that they are happy." -Author Unknown
