Dorothy Mae Howington, 91, passed away on July 7, 2016. She resided in York County since 1961. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard and their daughter, Shirley. Dorothy is survived by three sons, Pete Howington, Jim Howington, Kenneth Howington (Glinda); two daughters, Iris Speechley (Bob), Arlene Wilcox; son-in-law, Jerry Zsoldos; fourteen grandchildren, Jeff , Crystal, Jody, Jason, Brandon, Steve, Chris, Jeremy,  Phillip,  Ashton, Meagan, Heather, Amanda,  and Adam; and nine great-grandchildren, David, Ryan, Michael, Dylan, Jacob, Julianna, River, Aiden, Savannah; and two best friends, Nancy Smith and Mildred Hite.

Dorothy was a faithful York County bus driver (bus number 110) for 26 years. Dorothy said she loved the children she drove and would have kept driving her bus if she could have.   She loved her birds, the beach, shopping, a drive along the parkway, and most of all, her grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188 on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. A funeral service will be held at Bucktrout Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM, followed by interment at Williamsburg Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County Rescue Squad.
