Donna Jean Pritts

Donna Jean Pritts, 76, passed away peacefully in Williamsburg, VA on November 16th, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Donna was born in 1945 in Monongahela, PA to the late William and Mildred Domitrovic.  

In 1963 Donna graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Washington, PA. She then graduated from Washington Hospital School of Nursing in 1966. In 1968, Donna married the love of her life, John “Jack” Pritts. Donna was a caregiver and devoted her 45 year career as a Registered Nurse to healing the sick. She only retired when her MS made it too difficult to continue working. She and Jack also ran Canonsburg Milling for over 16 years. They bought the company, which was founded in 1781, from his parents.

Donna loved to work outside in her flower garden. She was multi-talented with the ability to grow, harvest and can her own strawberries, green beans and tomatoes from her 1 acre garden. Donna  also loved knitting and needlepoint. She was so good at needlepoint she would stitch entire blankets and tablecloths.  

Donna is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Linda Domitrovic. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 54 years, John “Jack” Pritts and siblings William, Anna and Cheryl Domitrovic and her best friend and roommate from nursing training, Bonnie Johnson.

A visitation will be held at Bucktrout Funeral home at 4124 Ironbound Road in Williamsburg, VA on Friday, December 16th from 6:00pm–8:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 17th at 11:00 am at Jamestown Presbyterian Church located at 3287 Ironbound Road Williamsburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to the National MS Society (www.nationalmssociety.org) in Donna’s name.
