Donald Richard Wendt passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, March 10, 2014 after a courageous thirteen year battle with cancer. Donald was born in Lebanon, PA and graduated from Valley Force Military Academy. He also graduated from the University of Richmond School of Business and was in Theta Chi fraternity. He served in the United States Army at Lockport, NY. Don was employed in marketing and real-estate for 33 years with Texaco, Inc. and upon retirement he consulted for PMI for fifteen years. Upon moving to Williamsburg, he played golf and enjoyed his friends on the golf course as much as possible.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sallie Berkeley Wendt; a son Philip Campbell Wendt, wife Kate, and granddaughter Rose of Kansas City, MO; son Boyd Landon Wendt and wife Jillian of Herndon, VA; and two adopted by the heart grandsons Billy Lacey and Evan Graham, both of Williamsburg.

A memorial service will be held at Saint Martinís Episcopal Church, 1333 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. The family requests you come expecting to celebrate the life of a Child of God.
