Dixie Lee Wickre, 80, of Williamsburg, passed away on July 30, 2019.

Dixie is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Wickre, and sister, Linda M. White. She is survived by her son, Brian K. MacIver; daughter, Sandy L. MacIver; sister, Connie Morrill-Hair; and grandchildren, Grant MacIver and Kelly Majerowicz.

Small things brought joy to Dixie, such as her book club, gardening, hummingbirds, and dog sitting Blue. She was a Senior leader within the AA Fellowship.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Park East at Two Rivers at Governor’s Land, 2711 Two Rivers Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Baltimore, Maryland.

    Dixie was one of my closest friends. We met on a golf cart many years ago and became friends that day. We played golf 2 or 3 times a week, often with Bonnie and Susan, had short talks on the phone or had lunch with other friends .usually telling about our kids and grandkids. Oh, how I will miss her.
